John Wesley bahkan mengatakan, \u201ctidak ada yang namanya kesucian tanpa kesucian sosial.\u201dDalam bagian ini, Paulus mengajarkan kita untuk bersikap adil dan jujur kepada sesama, termasuk kepada mereka yang berada di bawah tanggung jawab kita. Kepekaan manusia terhadap keadilan bukan kebetulan, tetapi berakar pada fakta bahwa kita semua adalah gambar Allah (image of God).

Negara bisa maju dan aman jika ada keadilan sosial. Keluarga pun menjadi rukun ketika setiap anggota merasakan keadilan. Namun, memperlakukan setiap orang dengan adil tidak selalu berarti memperlakukan semua orang sama, karena keadilan mempertimbangkan kebutuhan dan kondisi masing-masing. Bahkan firman Tuhan menunjukkan bahwa kepada yang lemah, kita justru harus memberi perhatian lebih dan itulah keadilan bagi mereka. (bdk. 1 Kor 12:22\u201324)
